Quarantine Cooking Episode 5: Dinner Rolls

  • 1.75 cup whole milk at room temperature
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • 4 cups bread flour (or a combination of flours that equals 4 cups)
  • .25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • olive oil or clarified butter for finishing
  1. Combine everything in the bowl of a stand mixer

  2. Using a dough hook, mix for 10 minutes

  3. Remove the dough hook and cover the bowl and allow the dough to bulk ferment 45 minutes

  4. Portion and shape as needed

  5. Final proof the dough

  6. Bake at 350F until the dough is baked through
