Lucky Dog Sweet and Savory Dinner

I was honored to be a part of Chef Rebecca Masson’s annual Sweet and Savory charity dinner to benefit the Lucky Dog Rescue in Houston this weekend.  Not only did I get to join an all-star line-up of Texas chefs, but we raised over $21,000 for a cause that’s very close to my heart.

My wife and I have adopted two dogs from animal rescues like Lucky Dog.  One was a stray and the other was a breeder release.  They were both sick, malnourished, and frightened when they came to us, and today they are happy, healthy, playful pups.  I am thrilled that so many of the dogs at Lucky Dog can be rehabilitated and find forever homes thanks to all of the generous donations to Sweet and Savory.

On my press page, you’ll find several articles about the event and can see all the tasty goodness that my fellow chefs cooked up.  Maybe you’ll be enticed to attend next year!  Until then, you can help our furry friends by fostering, adopting, or donating your money, time, and items to your local Humane Society.  The shelter dogs always need newspaper to line their crates, food, beds, blankets, and a little TLC.
